Beechdean Motorsport is a race team competing in the GT3 & GT4 Class of the
2009 British GT Championship which is the most prestigious GT Championship in
the UK.
The team first burst onto the racing scene in 2000 running four cars in the highly
competitive Mini Miglia championship. Then in 2007 they entered the British GTC
championship running a Ferrari 360 and came close to clinching the British GTC
title by the season end.
Based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and led by owner and driver Andrew
Howard, Beechdean Motorsport has evolved in a very short period of time.
And new for 2009 the team are delighted to announce they are to unite with the
former British GT title-winning team Barwell Motorsport.
Andrew Howard and Jamie Smyth will move up to the GT3 category with an Aston
Martin DBRS9 and in the British GT4 class Beechdean-Barwell intends to run an
Aston Martin Vantage GT4.
"Our association with Barwell Motorsport is an exciting opportunity and we are
really looking forward to the year ahead. We are keen to build on our knowledge
and success over the last two years and having the support from Barwell will only
help us develop and push us even harder to achieve the objectives that we have
set ourselves for this year".
