BEECHDEAN OUT AT ROCKINGHAM
After much deliberation Beechdean Motorsport elected to withdraw from the second race at Rockingham ahead of round 6 of the Avon Tyres British GT Championship.
The team held talks with SRO the Championship Organiser, Avon Tyres and all of the British GT4 teams ahead of the second race. All parties are in agreement that a solution to the current situation is required but no action could be implemented before the second race, so the formal protest by the team remained.
Andrew Howard, Racing Driver
“As a team we want to be competitive and be in a position to race on an equal footing. We have won in the GT4 European Cup so we feel that we are a suitable benchmark for British GT4. It was a difficult decision to make because we all love GT racing, but we need to resolve this issue so that can get back to racing.”
